Mexico has one of the world’s largest economies due to being the largest silver exporter and the 10th largest oil exporter. With almost 120 million inhabitants Mexico is among the most populous countries in the world. And its population is still growing very fast.
It is the world’s 14th largest country with a total area of 1,972,550 km2. Mexico is crossed from north to south by two mountain ranges known as Sierra Madre Oriental and Sierra Madre Occidental, which are the extension of the Rocky Mountains. There are mountains to discover up to 5,500 meters high.
The Mexican culture is a mix of the Spanish culture and indigenous cultures. The main religion is the Roman Catholicism. There are many various indigenous arts to see in Mexico as well as the Mexican society enjoys a vast array of music genres, showing the diversity of Mexican culture. Furthermore there are some very interesting arts and other things to visit in the Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico City.
Mexican cuisine is known for its intense and varied flavors, colorful decoration, and variety of spices. It is based on the pre-Columbian traditions. But the real Mexican cuisine is the result of the mix of the cuisine of the indigenous dishes with the dishes of the Spanish. Of course the dishes variate by region.
