If you are in a job that’s lost its ‘zing’ or doesn’t fit; if you are stressed out because of sky-rocketing rents and cost of living; if maybe you would love to travel but your budget is stretched… maybe doing our TESOL course may be just what the doctor ordered.
Most of all once you complete your 5 day TESOL training (3 evenings + weekend), you’re eligible to teach English in countries like: China and Vietnam (these two countries have a huge demand for TESOL trained people just like you and we can actually guarantee you work there). In addition Japan, Korea, The Middle East, South America, Taiwan, Europe and India are other countries our TESOL teachers go to.
Teaching in China has released the inner child in me that I thought was gone forever! None of my friends (or me) could have believed I would be singing, dancing, acting as Santa or the Easter Bunny and confidently giving speeches to hundreds of people at a time! Since I came here I've done all that and much.
Doing the Cert IV and teaching in Asia was one of the most enjoyable and gratifying things that I have ever done and continues to create opportunities for teaching and business. I would recommend the Cert IV for teachers that want to make their teaching a career not just a job.
ATA has helped both me and Mohammed in understanding the difficulties of learning a new language, and helping people overcome those difficulties with very simple and basic techniques, and we would like to thank everyone there who has helped us on our own journey of discovery.
I saw the ad for Teach English Overseas. I did my 5 day course in Melbourne and loved it. During the electives, I realized this was what I wanted to do. I am now teaching English, Math's, science and Thai studies to 80 ten year olds at an elementary school in Bangkok.
The people are hospitable and the experience has been truly rewarding! I’m not a teacher by trade but ATA gave me the confidence to apply for this job regardless. There really is a demand for teachers here, so give it a go! You may end up staying much longer than you intended.
